Setting up a server as a pass-through server
Set up a server as a pass-through server to enable users and other servers to route through it to connect to a pass-through destination server.

About this task

Use IBM® Domino® configuration settings to assign a server as a pass-through server.

Note: Support for direct dialup modem (X.PC) connections is available only in releases of Domino earlier than release 8.5. You can use Domino Administrator 8.5 to configure and maintain direct dialup modem support only on servers running releases earlier than 8.5.

Procedure

1. From the Domino Administrator, click the Configuration tab.

2. Click Server -> All Server Documents.

3. Open the server document for the server that you want to set up as a pass-through server and click Edit Server.

4. Click the Security tab and in the Passthru Use section, specify the following fields.


5. Click Save & Close.

6. Set up servers as pass-through destinations.

7. Create pass-through Connection documents as necessary to connect the pass-through server to destination servers that do not share the same LAN.
