Sending commands from a Web Administrator console
There are two remote consoles available from the Domino® Web Administrator: the Quick Console and the Live Console.

About this task

Use the Live Console to send commands to a Web server running under a Controller. Using the Live Console you can send Controller and operating system (shell) commands as well as Domino server commands.

Use the Quick Console to send commands to a Web server that does not run under a Controller. Or use it if you are unable to install or use the Java™ Plug-in in your browser.

A Domino command can contain up to 255 characters.

If an argument for a command contains a space, enclose it in quotation marks. For example: PULL "Acme Server."

To send a command from a Web Administrator remote console:

Procedure

1. Make sure you have the administrator access to the server required for the command you are sending.

2. From the Web Administrator, connect to the server.

3. Click Server -> Status.

4. Select Quick Console or Live Console.

5. Do one of the following to add the command to the Command box:
