ADMINISTERING

Specify text to search for in events during log analysis
Use the Words panel in the Log Analysis dialog box to specify text strings to search for while analyzing events.

Procedure

1. Refine the limits of your search by specifying how to search and the words to search for.

Field	Action
Search	Choose one of these: any of the words all the words exact phrase
Words	Enter the words or phrases for which you want to search.

2. Select one:

Must contain these words -- Enter the words that the log search must contain to be successful.
Must not contain these words -- Enter the words or phrases that would make a search result invalid.

3. If you want to results of the search to match exactly the selected tasks, enable the The results must match the specified words and/or filters check box.
